Kicking off their "Fear Life For A Lifetime" tour with a highly anticipated debut in Berlin, Liverpool’s Stone took to the stage at cassiopeia, a venue known for its underground vibe and rich history in alternative music. The gritty, intimate space was the perfect setting for a night of raw energy, bolstered by a crowd eager to witness this rising band from the UK.
The evening began with support from Sounds Mint, an up-and-coming London-based group whose melodic, punk-infused rock sound provided the perfect warm-up for what was to come. Their set, tight and full of potential, drew in early attendees with a mix of sharp riffs and catchy hooks, creating a buzz that steadily built throughout the room.
As Stone entered the stage and frontman Fin Power took the microphone, his commanding stage presence immediately took hold of the room. His energy was undeniable, captivating the audience with a mixture of fiery vocal delivery and swaggering confidence. Stone’s set was a tightly controlled storm, powered by the relentless rhythm section of Sarah Surridge on bass and Alex Smith on drums, while Elliot Gill shredded through jagged guitar lines. Every beat, riff, and lyric carried an urgency that reflected the rebellious spirit of the post-punk revival they’re a part of.
The highlight of the night came with "Leave It Out", which the band saved for their final, adrenaline-pumping closer. As the opening riff rang out, the room shifted into overdrive. The song’s aggressive tone and biting lyrics made it the perfect choice to end the night on a high note, with the crowd fully locked into the energy Stone had been building throughout the set. By the time the final notes faded, the room erupted in cheers, with fans already clamoring for more.
Stone’s tour kickoff at Cassiopeia was an explosive debut, marked by an intense performance, a dynamic atmosphere, and a crowd that was more than ready to embrace the post-punk energy they delivered. An exciting start to what promises to be a powerful run of shows.
